
Garry lived in Jensen Beach for 25 years, having previously resided in Gold River, California. He graduated from the University of Akron, earning both a B.A. and a Master’s degree, and was named an Outstanding Alumnus. He began his career as a Bureau Chief in the Ohio Department of Health, then dedicated 25 years to working in the healthcare industry. He served on the Board of Directors of Kindred Healthcare and Health Smart Holdings and was listed in Who’s Who in Healthcare Management.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army as a Captain in the Corps of Engineers.
Garry is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Caryn; his daughters, Jennifer Scheuer of Waterville, Ohio, and Amanda Hofbauer of Bowling Green, Ohio; his sisters, Dee Baker of Titusville, Florida, and Sandi Johnson of Santa Maria, California; and his grandchildren, Madison, Cassidy, Stella, Eliza and Jonas.
Garry had a deep appreciation for beautiful things built with skill and patience, including art, music, classic cars, boats, and fine furniture. He loved sailing on Lake Erie with his family, had a passion for military history, and enjoyed woodworking. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
