Henry Albert Salzler December 17, 1947 – November 7, 2025 Henry Albert Salzler, 77, of Jensen Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025. Born in Springville, New York, Henry grew up in Jensen Beach, where he built a life rooted in family, community, and service to others.
A passionate advocate for education, Henry dedicated his career to the Martin County School District, where he worked his way up to assistant superintendent. He was deeply respected for his leadership, integrity, and tireless commitment to students, teachers, and the broader community.
A talented athlete, Henry was the quarterback for the John Carroll High School football team and went on to play baseball at the
University of Florida. His love for sports remained throughout his life, inspiring teamwork, discipline, and enthusiasm in everyone around him. Henry was truly a jack of all trades — a comedian, a leader, loyal and true to his word. He approached every project and relationship with passion and purpose, never stopping short of giving his all. His goal in life was simple yet profound: to help everyone he could.
He is survived by his two sons, Peter and Blake Salzler, and his beloved granddaughter, Dr. Kayla Senger, of whom he was incredibly proud. He also leaves behind his loving companion, Dianne Pierce, and his sisters, Sharon, Harriet, and Rose.
Henry was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Salzler, with whom he shared a deep and enduring love.
A celebration of Henry’s life will be held on December 5th at St.Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Jensen Beach, Florida. Mass will be held at 1:00pm and reception to follow at 2:pm. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Breast Cancer Research or that a living plant be contributed to his memorial garden, in loving memory of Henry and Linda Salzler.
Henry’s motto in life was to “live every day to the fullest as if it
were your last.” He embodied that philosophy completely — giving 110% to his family, friends, and
community. The world has many men, but very few true gentlemen; Henry was the epitome of one. If
anyone had a straight shot to Heaven, it is him..
