

Bob was born to Gray and Bertha Hobby in McKeesport, PA. He had been a resident of Florida since 1980, moving from Flushing, MI. Prior to his retirement, Bob was the Director of Operations for the General Motors Institute. He was a proud veteran of World War II that served in the U.S. Navy. Bob was an active member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Jensen Beach for 30 years. He was also a member of the Port St. Lucie Rotary Club, a Sunday School Teacher for 60 years, a Biblical Archeology enthusiast, and an avid golfer.
Bob is survived by Lois, his wife of 66 years; children Gray D. Hobby and his wife Kathleen of Stafford, VA, Bill Hobby and his wife Nancy of Austin, TX, and Susan Lewis and her husband Drake of Mesa, AZ; grandchildren Eric, Danielle, Angela, Robert, Nicholas, Derrith, Eldrea, Jamie, and Stephanie; great grandchildren Brooke, Victoria, Brittany, Colin, Aubrey, Brandi, Alaysha, Jannay, Rayna, Nevaeh, Seth, and Patrick; brother Ross Hobby, and sister Jane Dibble.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM, Friday, July 2, 2010, at Aycock Funeral Home, 950 NE Jensen Beach Boulevard, Jensen Beach, FL 34957. A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Michael Sims, will be at 11 AM, on Saturday, July 3, 2010, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 2221 NE Savannah Road, Jensen Beach, FL 34957.
