Ruth W. Pruitt Riska

Born in Birmingham, AL, Ruth has been a resident of Jensen Beach for the past 45 years, moving here from Tuscaloosa, AL. She was an artist, actor, and model in her younger years, and then was the District Manager for Avon Corporation of the Treasure Coast for over 20 years. She attended the Trinity United Methodist Church in Jensen Beach, Florida.

Ruth is survived by her daughters Priscilla Ann Woods Eggleston of Hawaii, and Diane Woods Towry of Jensen Beach, FL; her son and daughter-in-law Walter G. Woods and Sarah W. Woods of Sewall’s Point; grandchildren Kimberly, Mark, Gabriel, Katherine, Allison, Elizabeth, Gabriella and Drews; six great grandchildren and one step-son Guy Riska. She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Riska.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm, on Friday, January 28, 2011, at Aycock Funeral Home, 950 NE Jensen Beach Blvd., Jensen Beach, FL 34957. A funeral service conducted by Michael Sims will be at 11 AM, on Saturday, January 29, 2011, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 2221 NE Savannah Road, Jensen Beach, FL 34957. Interment will follow at Fernhill Memorial Gardens in Stuart, FL.
