Theresa Kozik

Theresa was one of the original ‘working moms’. She played many roles in the family business, Custom Craft Woodshop in Posen, Illinois. She was bookkeeper, drill press operator, assembler, painting assistant, caterer and the delivery driver into downtown Chicago. All while taking care of her family at home. After the family relocated to Florida, she worked for the Jensen Beach CVS/Eckerd Drugs for 20 years before retiring to focus on family.

Although she loved reading, crafts and cooking, her real love was baking. Her Paczki, Chruschiki, Rosettes, Kolaczki, Easter lamb cakes and other Christmas cookies were love in every bite. She passed her love of baking onto her children and grandchildren with a Christmas cookie baking weekend every year.

Theresa will be remembered for her love, her beautiful blue eye and her easy laugh, smile and very frequent quick humor. She embodied Polish hospitality by always serving the needs of others ahead of her own. Family came first, but she always welcomed new faces as family. Her patience, wisdom, caring and warmth for everyone made her a courageous protector, defender, and supporter of all. Her sense of fun and humor will be missed but her example of serving others lives on in those she loved.

Theresa is preceded in death by her late husband of 40 years Edward Kozik, brothers George Struzyna, Zenon Struzyna, Casey Struzyna and her sisters Camile Rawley and Isabel Struzyna. She was the loving Mother of Edward Kozik Jr., Val Kozik, Sandy Waters, Art Kozik and Bob Kozik. Beloved Grandmother of Peggy Kozik, Matthew Kozik, Zachary Kozik, Mary Waters, Joshua Kozik, Sara Waters, Hannah Kozik. Adoring Great Grandmother of Katie Denton, Gracie Denton, Grady Denton, Hayden Kozik, Nyla Kozik, Lukas Kozik and Vyla Wren Kozik. Special Mother to Amanda Nix Kozik, Thomas Waters, Sue Kozik, and Elizabeth Nolan. Loving Aunt and Great Aunt to many but especially Zeno Rawley, Theresa Kaszubski and Michael Kaszubski. And lifelong best friend of Delores Dini.

A Visitation will be held at Aycock Funeral Home, located at 950 NE Jensen Beach Blvd, Jensen Beach, FL 34957, on February 5, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

The Funeral Mass will take place at St. Martin de Porres Catholic, located at 2555 NE Savannah Rd, Jensen Beach, FL 34957, on February 6, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
