She was married to James Roy Ford, Jr for 47 years. Doris was a devoted mother and homemaker. She was a member of Boone Trail Baptist Church in Johnson City, Tennessee and The Sheperd's Church in Cary, North Carolina. A few of her passions were cross stitching, playing words with friends along with many other games and puzzles.
In addition to her parents, Doris is preceded in death by her husband, James Roy Ford, Jr.
She is survived by her two sons, Jeff Ford (Judy) and Hank Ford; and four grandchildren, Kelsey (Brady), Drew (Lauren), Alex (Kristen) and Matt.
The family will receive friends on Monday, January 22, 2024 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Monte Vista Funeral Home. Committal Service and Interment will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at Highland Church Cemetery, 485 Highland Church Road, Gray, Tennessee.
