Polly Ann Ledwell, age 79, of Johnson City, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at the Life Care Center in Elizabethton, TN. She was born in Erwin, Tennessee, a daughter of the late Robert Hoyle and Dorothy Dugan Hoyle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her only son, Ronald “Zekie” Ledwell, II; one sister, Eva Hoyle Reese; and one nephew, Mickey Garland.
Polly was of the Baptist faith and a former employee of Texas Instruments in Johnson City, TN. She had a love for pets and had several Jack Russell’s. She loved drawing and making costumes for children’s parties and for adults.
She is survived by two sisters, Sandra Guinn and Linda Burchfield and husband Roger Lynn; one niece, Annissa Reese Cauble(Chris) who was raised as a sister; three nephews, Davy Garland, Coty Guinn(Alexis), and Luke Guinn(Joni); one great nephew and one great niece.
A Private Inurnment will be held in the Mausoleum Southside Niche at Monte Vista Memorial Park.
The family would like to express their thanks to the staff at Life Care Center of Elizabethton for a job well done, Chaplain Chris Hughes for all the visits and prayers, and appreciation to the staff of Gentiva Hospice, and all her caregivers Tammy Pratt, Laura Turpin for all the love and care that was shown.
