Virginia Lee Pace, age 89, of Johnson City, Tennessee and formerly of Whittier, California passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024 at The Waters of Johnson City. She was born in Brooklyn, New York, a daughter of the late Elizabeth VanVleet. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Tosha Pace.
Virginia was an Episcopalian and had worked as a Beauty Operator. She had also worked in housekeeping and caregiving. She was the Past President of the Gem Carvers Association of America in Whittier, California. She was a very talented artist and will be remembered for all her beautiful art work and carvings.
She is survived by one daughter, Stephanie Hathaway; one son, Danton E. Pace; one grandson, Kevin Hathaway; and one granddaughter, Kristin Hathaway.
There will be no formal services held.
The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at The Waters of Johnson City and to the Amedisys Hospice for all the love and care that was shown.
