Carol Jo Ann Nichols

Carol Jo Ann Nichols, 92, of Johnstown, Ohio passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Licking Memorial Hospital surrounded by family and loved ones. She was born March 15, 1932, to the late Pearl and Harry Lane. Carol was a faithful and longtime member of the Alexandria Methodist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and loved to spend time with her family. Carol enjoyed her many crocheting projects and collecting Native American memorabilia. She is survived by her loving sons, Darryl, Terry, and Duane (Michelle) Nichols; 18 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; five siblings; and a host of other family, friends, and loved ones. In addition to her parents, Carol is preceded in passing by her beloved husband, Lawrence Nichols; son, Randy Nichols; daughter, Rhonda Fleetwood; and 5 siblings. Family and friends may gather from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Crouse-Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home, 225 N. Main St., Johnstown, OH 43031. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 27, 2025, at the funeral home. Following the service Carol will be laid to rest at Maple Grove Cemetery in Alexandria.
