Gary Lee Schleich, 81, of Johnstown, passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at St. Ann’s Hospital. He was born on November 11, 1940 in Columbus, OH, a son to the late Robert and Florence (Steiger) Schleich. Gary was in the U.S. Navy from 1960-1990. He also worked at General Motors for 30 years as Chief Engineer and at Lash Chevrolet for 10 years as Title Clerk. Gary is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Irene Schleich; son, Robert (Terri) Schliech; grandchildren, Kaytlyn (Matthew) Dempster, Zachary Schleich and Ryan Schleich; great-grandchildren, Aislynn Dempster, Matthew Kent Dempster III and Lorelai Dempster; sister, Donna (Ron) Deitz and Niece, Kim Miller. Memorial visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at CROUSE-KAUBER-FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, 225 N. Main St., Johnstown, OH 43031. Memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Honoring the family’s wishes, cremation will take place.
