

Herman Thomas "Tom" Knapp, 63, of Johnstown, passed away peacefully at his home November 1, 2014. Born February 24, 1951 in Mason, WV to Douglas and Imogene Knapp, he grew up near the Ohio River. After graduation, moving to Crystal Lake, IL he married loving wife of 44 years, Linda (Harvey). They moved to Ohio in 1973 and made final residence in Johnstown, OH in March, 1980. He was a devoted father and grandfather, even to his 4 legged grandkids. Tom was a man of few words, quiet and humble. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, car shows, racing and spending time at home with his family. Survived by wife, Linda (Harvey) Knapp; daughters, Brenda (Mark) Bolenski, Trish (Mike) Thompson, Amber Knapp (Corey Beaver); grandchildren, Josh Spence, Tyler Thompson, Kayla Thompson, Paige Bolenski; brothers, William (Susie), Robert (Donna); nephews, Billy, Tim and Brian; Grand Dogs, Dodge, Vixen and Chico. He was preceded in death by grandchildren, Eric and Shane Thompson; his father and mother, 3 sisters and many aunts and uncles. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the start of memorial service at Crouse-Kauber-Sammons Funeral Home, 225 N. Main St, Johnstown, OH on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. with Pastor Calvin Alexander officiating. In lieu of flowers, family request memorial contributions be made to Crouse-Kauber-Sammons Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
