Butcher, James R., 81, of Johnstown, passed away October 23, 2013 in St. Ann's Hospital. He was born in Highland, WV on September 12, 1932, son of the late Floyd and Roxie (Wiley) Butcher. James was a member of the American Legion Post 254 and the past president of the Columbus Controller's Club. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Janice; son, James S. (Kimberly); grandchildren, Cory and Shawna (Chris) Winzenreid; great grandchildren, Kyndal, Eric and Hunter; sister, Betty Osburn; brother, Floyd Jr. and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday from 5-8 p.m. in CROUSE-KAUBER-SAMMONS FUNERAL HOME. Funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Mike Rector officiating.
