James A Stansbury Jr

The Funeral Service for James A. Stansbury Jr. of Croton will be held Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the Croton United Methodist Church, Croton. Interment will be at the Hartford Cemetery with Rev. Eva Marie Wolfe officiating.

Jim was born in Dallas, Texas on December 2, 1937 to the late James A. and Edith Stansbury. He passed Thursday, January 16, 2014 at St. Ann’s Hospital. He was 75.

He is preceded in death by his daughter Cara Stansbury. He is survived by his wife Dorotha, children James A. Stansbury III, Cathleen (Chris) McGowan, Michael (Jillene) Stansbury, Christopher (Courtney) Stansbury; stepchildren Jeffrey (Karen) Grandstaff and Joy (Douglas) Young. Grandchildren Sam, Nick, Jake, Maria, Brigid, and Julia McGowan; Winston Stansbury, Cara Stansbury, Kyle (Meridith) Young, Lauren Grandstaff, Jesse Young and Gina Grandstaff, his brothers Edward (Donna) Stansbury and Richard (Linda) Stansbury.

Jim was a graduate of Princeton and was a retired Insurance Consultant. He enjoyed time with his family and golfing with friends whenever he could.

Friends may call at the Crouse Kauber Sammons Funeral Home on Friday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund at the Croton United Methodist Church in his memory.
