

Jon Kelly Harris, 53, formerly of Johnstown, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2016 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Palliative Care surrounded by his family. He was born on January 24, 1962 in Columbus, OH, a son to the late Floyd “Monk” and Betty (Higgins) Harris. Kelly is survived by his siblings, Joyce (Don) Ruby, Jean (Jim) Retherford, Jo (Wayne) Congrove, Karl (Linda) Harris and Karen (Bill) Lanning; his feline buddy, Annie; nieces and nephews, Karen, Michael, Jennifer, Leslie, Lauren, Leanne, Shane, Shannon, Shelly, Stacy; great nieces and nephews, Ryan, Anna, Alex, Ethan, Samantha, Jaidon, Khamari, Dhanivon, Blake, Camryn and Christina. He was a graduate of Beechcroft High School (special needs class) and a former employee of ARC Industries. Kelly had a passion for woodworking as evidenced by his workshops. Even though affected by Cerebral Palsy, Kelly was never handicapped. He would readily lend assistance to others less fortunate and always with a smile. Friends may call from 12-2 p.m. on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Croton United Methodist Church, 75 N. High St., Croton, OH 43013. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the church with Pastor Steve Rice of Riverside Methodist Hospital Hospice and Palliative Care, along with Rev. Eva Marie Wolfe of Croton United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will take place at the Hartford Cemetery, Croton, with a luncheon following. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Easter Seals, Second Chance Humane Shelter, Licking County or a Charity of your choice.
