Mary Louise Cook, 96 of Mt. Vernon, Ohio formerly of Johnstown passed away on Monday, September 2, 2024 at Middleton Senior Living. She was born on August 22, 1928 in Johnstown, Ohio to the late Charles and Frances Cook. Mary retired from Western Electric after 23 hardworking years. In her free time Mary loved to travel, and especially loved going to the beach. Mary is survived by her sister, Carolyn Shepherd; brother, Henry (Joyce) Cook; four nieces; one nephew; and a host of other family, friends, and loved ones. In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her brother, Charles Cook; and niece, Angela Muller. Family and friends may call from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Friday, September 6, 2024 at Crouse-Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home, 225 N. Main St., Johnstown, OH 43031. A funeral service is to immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Kevin Heckathorn officiating. Mary will be laid to rest at Fancher Cemetery in Galena, Ohio.
