Monroe "Mo" Wright

May 23, 1933 – December 10, 2011

Monroe “Moe” Wright, 78, of Johnstown, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Mt Carmel East Hospital. Funeral service will be 10 AM Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at the Johnstown United Methodist Church, 173 S. Main Street, Johnstown, OH with Rev. John Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Wright was born May 23, 1933 in Columbus, OH to the late Frank and Victoria (Sanford) Wright. He retired after 34 years with Cham-Cor., Inc, Johnstown, OH, taught 4 years at Johnstown-Monroe High School, was a member of the US Marine Corp. during the Korean Conflict, graduated from Johnstown-Monroe High School in the Class of 1952, graduated from Otterbein University in the Class of 1960, and was a member of the Johnstown United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Charon Wright of Johnstown, three daughters and a son, Kristie (Tim) Barbour of Columbus, Gretchen Wright of New Albany, Heidi (Roger) Tennyson of Hilton Head, SC, Chad Wright of Blacklick, sister, Rebecca Simmons of Johnstown, brother, Lee (JoAnn) Wright of Johnstown, and five grandchildren, Olivia and Sophie Barbour, Bryana, Alayna, Kyra Zuiderweg. Preceded in death by two brothers, Bill and Tom Wright, and a sister, Virginia Smoot.

Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 PM on Monday, December 12, 2011 at the Johnstown United Methodist Church. Memorial contributions may be directed to the church. An online memorial will be located at www.cksammons.com.
