Rebel Louanna-Lynn Bryant returned to the arms of her Heavenly Father on July 7th, 2024. Rebel was born on February 25th, 2023 in Columbus, Ohio. She is survived by her parents, Ronald Bryant and Emily (Johnson) Bryant; her sisters Ryder and Roper; paternal grandparents, James Bryant and Connie (Carter) Bryant; maternal grandparents, Kevin Johnson and Lisa (Neibarger) Johnson; great grandparents, John Neibarger and Shirley (Simmons) Neibarger; great-grandmother, Welma (Whittington) Johnson; and many other family members she was blessed to be loved by.
Rebel, lovingly called “Rebbie”, was a ray of sunshine with a personality larger than life. In her short 16 months earthside, Rebel loved picking on her big sister and assumed the role of ‘Ryder’s shadow’. Rebel had a passion for animals and often kissed kittens, dogs, and chickens on the family’s property. Rebel was rarely seen without a snack in her hand, most times one in each hand! One of Rebel’s first words was ‘more’, so she could communicate her desire for ‘more food’. Rebel was not entertained by electronics and screens, but was connected to the world and the people around her. Rebel would look into your eyes and make you feel so seen and loved.
Rebbie, we miss your bright blue eyes, huge smile, golden locks of hair, cheerful little voice, and boisterous laugh. We do not know the reasons but we know God has a plan and needed you back. We love you so much and cannot wait to see you again in Heaven. Until then, have fun and eat all the snacks, baby girl!
There was an intimate funeral service held with immediate family members. The family will be having a celebration of life for Rebel on October 6th, 2024. Please contact members of the family for details if you are interested in attending. All are welcome. There will be food and fun for the family in a cheerful, laid-back setting.
The family is starting a charity foundation in Rebel’s name that will help other local families who have lost children. The foundation will also assist local families with sleep monitors for children; especially children who experience seizures or have other health issues that make them more susceptible to Sudden Unexplained Death of Children (SUDC). This foundation is expected to be started in the next couple months and will be shared when ready for donations. In the meantime, Rebel’s family will be supporting the already-established foundation: Sudden Unexplained Death of Children Foundation (SUDC.org).
