Robert August Subler

Robert August Subler, 70, of Johnstown went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at St. Ann’s Hospital. He was born on August 4, 1952 in Van Wert, OH, a son to the late James and Colleen (Youtsey) Subler. Robert graduated Van Wert High School in 1971. April 8, 1973 he married Marie Darlene Schaadt who survives in Van Wert. They divorced several years later. graduation Bob went to work at Sears Catalog Center in Van Wert. He retired from Albanese Concessions. He was a former member of the Moose Lodge 1320 in Van Wert. Robert is survived by his loving companion, Toby Justice; Sisters, Pam Shaner and Tina Subler; a brother Terry Subler all of Van Wert; lifelong friend, Michael Albanese. Niece, Angela (Dennis) Dees of Punta Gorda, FL, Nephew Chad (Erica) Subler of VanWert. He is also survived by Aunts Nancy Ripley of Middle Point, Tina (Michael) Owens and Judy Luce both of Van Wert. Uncles Leonard Subler of Van Wert, Larry Subler and Roger Youtsey both of Ohio City and Larry Youtsey of Vandalia, OH. Robert had 5 Great Neices; 3 great nephews and many, many great-great neices and nephews. Other than his parents & stepmother, Pamela Beagle Subler, Robert was preceded in death by two nephews, Terry James Dray (2017) and Robert Eugene Subler (2009). Honoring the family’s wishes, cremation will take place.
