Shirley May Beam

Shirley May Beam, age 83 of Johnstown died Sunday February 22, 2015 at the Pataskala Oaks. Shirley was born in Continental, Ohio on February 12, 1932 to the late Orley J. and Alida E. (Koenig) Corkwell.

She is survived by her husband Cletus, children Debra Smitley, Barbara (Tim) Martin, Ted (Debbie) Beam; grandchildren Jeannette (Joe) Dixon, Bill Smitley, John (Anna) Wells, Maureen Martin, Ian Martin, Ariel Beam, Alexander Beam, Alissa Beam, and Amelia Beam; great-grandchildren Jacob Harrison Dixon and Joseph Henry Wells. Sisters Orpha Elston and Patti (Bill) Neumann, sister-in-law Florine (Ralph) Jackson, and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Shirley was a member of the Miller Memorial United Methodist Church. Friends may call at the Crouse-Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home, 225 North Main Street, Johnstown on Wednesday February 25, 2015 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 1:30 pm with an hour prior of visitation at the funeral home with Rev. Calvin Alexander officiating. Interment will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mary E. Babcock Library, 320 N. Main St., Johnstown, OH 43031, in Shirley’s memory.
