

Teresa A. Scovell, 86, of Middletown, Ohio passed away March 4, 2026. She was born in Utica, Ohio to the late Julius and Virginia (Way) Wahl on June 16, 1939. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years, Richard L. Scovell. Terry was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to her three children, Steve (Amy) Scovell of Miamisburg, OH, Amy Buck of Clarksville, OH, and Jennifer (Timothy) Burns of Las Vegas, NV; three grandchildren, (Sarah (Logan) Snow, Samual (Holly) Scovell and Bethany (James) Eschner), and five great-grandchildren, (Audrey, August, and Brady Scovell, and Barrett and Bo Snow). Terry was also survived by her life-long friends, Bob and Nancy Adams. She resided in Utica until marriage and then in Johnstown all but the last 6 years of her life. Terry was very active in the community. She was a supporter and active member of the Catholic Church of the Ascension for almost 50 years and a member of Angels to Astronauts CCL for almost 20 years. She and her husband also actively supported the Methodist Church in Johnstown, including funding several projects in Dick’s memory. She supported her husband in organizing the Lion’s club Memorial Day flea market as their major fund raiser for over 30 years, and she and her husband funded the large conference room in the Mary E. Babcock Library. Terry had a love of antiques. She was a bookkeeper for an antique store and worked auctions for many years. She purchased and refinished numerous pieces which she proudly displayed in her house. Visitation will be at Crouse-Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home, 225 North Main Street, Johnstown OH on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 from 10am-12pm with Catholic burial immediately following at the funeral home, officiated by Father Brandimarti of the Church of the Ascension. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org).
