You have my deepest sympathy.  It has been a great privilege to get back up with Tad these past few years at WC Homecomings.  His passing is such a shock and such a loss for your family, the community, and for all of his many friends, including all of us from his WC Football family.

We received a letter today Telling us about Tad passing a total shock to say the least. Ted was our insurance agent and a friend for many years. Our sincerest condolences to Becky and his family.

Oh Tad....I just found out that you got your wings. To say I'm stunned & heartbroken is an understatement. You were such a sweet & kind  guy to me in College. I loved you & Beth to pieces. Thank you for being my friend. Fly high Tad.

Seeing hundreds of his friends at the viewing brought back a story of a man who knew no strangers. A friend once asked Tad if he happened to know the mayor. Tad assured him he did and would be happy to introduce him. The friend was greeted warmly by the mayor . The friend asked Tad how many folks did he know in town, and was surprised to learn that Tad knew everyone. The friend asked Tad if he knew the governor by any chance. Tad told him he did as a matter of fact as he sometimes advised the governor on certain topics. “I am having lunch with the governor tomorrow, you are welcome to come along.” Sure enough, they had lunch with the governor. The friend was now wondering if there was anyone Tad didn’t know. Two weeks later Tad invited the friend to play a round of golf with him and the president. On their trip back, the friend asked Tad , “ just how many people do you know?”Tad said, “The truth is, I know everyone.” The friend, wanting to stump Tad, asked him if he knew the Pope. Tad, assured him he did. “I am going to the Vatican as a special guest of the Pope next week, please join me.” Once they arrived they quickly got separated among the thousands of people. Everyone was waiting for the Pope to step out and begin his speech. His friend, could not see exactly what was going on, so he asked a vey tall man to tell him who he saw. The man said, “I don’t know who the guy is in the funny hat, but the guy standing beside him is Tad Dodderer.”
That, is who Tad is, the man everybody, everywhere knows.

What a wonderful advocate Tadd was for our agricultural community and for agricultural learning opportunities for our students. He will be missed. 
May the comfort and love of our Lord Jesus Christ be with the Dodderer family through this difficult time of loss and in the years ahead.

My deepest condolences to your family in this time of grief. It's been a few years since I last spoke to him. I remember playing football, basketball, and baseball with him and his brother Tim. May your family be blessed during this time of sorrow.

It's been so hard to know what to say.  Tad's passing is so unexpected. He moved to Johnstown when we were in First Grade. He was in my class that year, and every year after. We have a friendship that dates back 62 years. Our teachers & principals thought we were "good kids" but yet, Tad & I were part of every prank and practical joke.  Such memories!

Tad and our group of '75 members are planning our 50th class reunion and the JHS Alumni Banquet. We had just talked. I'll miss your calls, texts, advice and humor. I already miss you Tad.

He loves you Tracy & Heather, and your children are his whole world.  He said it's a new kind of love he enjoys.

Our deepest sympathies to the Dodderer family. Such a huge loss to his family & the Johnstown/Northridge community. We've known Tad & the Dodderer family well over 50 years; growing up in the same neighborhood, classmates & teammates at JHS, our insurance Guy & most of all Friends. Tad definitely was BLESSED with the "Gift to Gab" which made him the SUCCESSFUL person he was, never knowing a stranger. The "red house" by the old "Dari Isle" will never be the same! RIP Tad!

Learning of Tad’s passing was very sad and hard to believe. I understand the sadness, but I am unsure why it was hard to believe as we have reached the age where our leaving this life on this earth should not take us to much by surprise.  But for whatever reason, Tad’s passing hit me hard as he is not who I would expect to pass away. I had not been close to Tad’s life in many, many years, but I will always remember him from our high school years were we shared a lot of various adventures from sports to concert going to just living life as a friends.  Tad could always be counted on to do the right thing and he loved his wife Beth and children.  His business career was admirable.  My deepest sympathy to Beth and children. I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Tad. He was my insurance agent for as long has I can remember. I frequently stopped into his office just to chat, mostly about Lane showing his cows. Such a wonderful and fun guy to chat with. Many Hartford Fair stories and how much he enjoyed the kids showing their animals.  I will miss our talks. He was a wonderful man. Words cannot begin to describe how sorry I am to hear of Tadd’s passing . Tadd was our State Farm agent for many years and an important part of our community not to mention a good friend . His absence will leave a void in our community, family and the business of taking care of people. Tadd’s journey is not over just beginning a new one in Heaven with Eternal Life John 3: 16.

Tad was in the final few weeks as a trainee agent with State Farm when I first met him. I was in that odd space between being selected as a new agent candidate, training with our shared sales manager, while waiting for my start date. As you can imagine, Tad had no reservations imparting advice from the wisdom he had accumulated over the past 23 months! It was a great time! Fast forward over a decade or so, to the best lesson he ever taught me…the life skill of bidding on a hog at the Hartford Fair. I was there, at the invitation of a customer’s son, to bid on his 4H hog. I hadn’t a clue what I was doing. The look on his face when he saw me with a golf shirt and shorts, among  the boots and ball caps was priceless! We both had a good laugh at my expense. Thanks Tad, for your encouragement and thoughtfulness. My life is richer for having known you.
