Charles Walter Punke

Charles W. Punke, age 77 of Hampton Georgia, passed away on March 9, 2024. He was born to the late Herman Walter Punke and Vinnie Elizabeth Klein Punke Lynn in Marengo, Iowa on November 25, 1946. He served in the US Army for 28 years. He worshipped at St. Benizi Catholic Church in Jonesboro GA. On September 24,1970 he married Rose (Janaszak) Punke in Cherokee County, Iowa. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus- Tara Council 6352. He was a lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Elvis Presley was his favorite singer.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents; Herman and Vinnie Punke, his wife; Rose Punke, his five sisters; Shirley, Joyce, Beverly, Carolyn and Marjorie and one brother; Karl.

He leaves to cherish his memory his children; Joan (Elton) Todd of Morrow, GA; Jacob (Jacqui) Punke of Knoxville, TN; John (Katie) Punke of Adelaide, South Australia; Joseph Punke of Louisville, KY and Jessie Punke of Hampton, GA and five grandchildren.
