He was preceded in death by his daughter, Charlene Brock. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Candy Hopkins of Jonesboro; son and daughter in law, John and Linda Hopkins of Richmond Hill, GA; granddaughters, Kim Spraggins of Locust Grove, Amy Plantz of Savannah, Mary Beth George of Denver, CO., and Jennifer Harper of Locust Grove; sister, Vicki Bearden of Peachtree City.
A Funeral Service will be held Friday, December 2, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Tara Garden Chapel with interment in College Park Cemetery.
