

Frances “Beverly” Thomas passed away peacefully on March 27, 2025 in her home at Presbyterian Village in Austell, GA. Beverly was born on March 9, 1928 to the late Carl and Frances Estes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul “Goldie” Thomas and brother, Carlton (Barbara) Estes. She is survived by her two children Sherry Johnson and Randy Thomas (Lizabeth). She also is survived by grandchildren Jamie Thomas-Wing (Eric Wing), Jessica Thomas (John Oehler), Jody Thomas-Jurgensmeyer (Ryan Jurgensmeyer), and Jennifer Johnson; as well as great-grandchildren Eleanor Jurgensmeyer and Rosalie Jurgensmeyer. She also leaves behind many other cherished extended family and friends.
Beverly loved the Lord, and was a longtime member of Bible Baptist Church in Hampton, Georgia; serving several decades as the church secretary. She treasured her family and was a devoted mother and grandmother. Beverly enjoyed the simple things in life. She loved plants and flowers and spent much of her time in the backyard on a swing or the greenhouse. Beverly loved to take rides in the car, and her favorite spot to vacation was Hiawassee, GA. Beverly spent much time in the kitchen also, her brownies were famous! She was a loving woman and a joy to everyone she met; a true friend to anyone who knew her.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Tara Gardens Chapel, with a graveside service immediately following at Forest Hills Cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Presbyterian Village in Beverly’s name. They can be mailed to:
