Kathy Ann Woodard

Born Kathy Ann McInnis, to the late Irene and John Lee McInnis on December 28, 1953 in Gary, Indiana, has gone home to her Lord and Savior. Kathy left to be with the King on July 27, 2023 surrounded by family.

She was raised in Gary, Indiana by her parents along side her four sisters and three brothers. At the age of 21 Kathy went on to marry the love of her life; Albert Raymond Woodard and eight years later welcomed her first born Albert Raymond Woodard III in 1982 then in 1987 her second son Lamar Andre Woodard.

In 1991 Kathy left Gary, Indiana and moved to Riverdale, Georgia with her family. In 2001 she moved to Buckatunna, Mississippi with her husband to care for her father. Kathy and Raymond (Albert) lived there happily until December 2022 when they made a final move to Jonesboro, Georgia to live with her eldest son Albert III and his family. She remained there until her death.

A devout member of Sweet Pilgrim Church in Mississippi, Kathy's place in heaven is secured.

Kathy Ann Woodard was preceded in death by her parents; John Lee and Irene, brothers; Melvin and John Allen and her youngest son Lamar A. Woodard.

Left to carry on is her oldest son and caregiver; Albert R. Woodard III, husband; Albert R. Woodard, grandson; Braylen Woodard, Sisters; Audrey, Gloria, Renetta and Ira Lee, brother; Tony and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Kathy, you are loved and will be deeply missed.

A visitation for Kathy will be held Tuesday, August 15, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Tara Garden Chapel, 681 North Ave, Jonesboro, Georgia 30236. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, August 15, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 681 North Ave, Jonesboro, Georgia 30236. An interment will occur Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at Carver Memorial Gardens, 350 Upper Riverdale Rd, Jonesboro, Georgia 30236.
