

Pasty Smith was born and raised in 1954 in Atlanta, GA to the late Freeman Travitt Sr. (Father) and Nellie Mae Travitt (Mother). She also attended a primary school and she went to high school where she graduated from Samuel Howard Archer high school in 1973. She also attended Howell Station First Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA at a very young age, where she became a member.
She was a great Daughter, a wonderful Sister, an outstanding Mother, a loving Wife, an awesome Auntie, a dear Friend, and a helpful Co-worker. She met the love of her life Gary Smith in 1985, where they married in 1988. She also gained a bonus son then. She was dedicated to taking care of others and working at Emory-Wesley Woods giving her the opportunity to do so back in 1992. After working there for 22 years, she decided that it was time for her to retire. She loves to do home decor as she went to a (Technical School to learn Home Decoration and Building). Her favorite color was red. She also loves cooking, baking, doing crossword puzzles books, going to the casino, and playing games on her computer, and watching scary movies. But one of her favorite TV show was "The Haves and the Haves Nots."
She most definitely will be missed.
She was preceded in death by her late husband Gary Smith, her five brothers; Willie James Travitt, Lonzie Lee Travitt, Bill Travitt, Johnny Travitt, Frank Duke Travitt, and her two sisters; Eula Mae Travitt-Gill and Myrtice Travitt Jamison.
She leaves to cherish her memory her two children; Michael Terrell (Judy) Manuel son, and Diane (Manuel) Jackson daugther. She has a (bonus son) Antonio Smith, her two Sisters; Sarah Lyons and Louise (Eddie) Malcolm, and her three brothers; Freeman Travitt Jr., Robert Charles Edward Travitt, and Bobbie Travitt. Also a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and friends.
A memorial service for Patsy will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 11 am at Tara Garden Chapel, 681 North Avenue, Jonesboro, GA, 30236. Family and friends will have an opportunity to speak for two to three minutes.
