Peggy Juanita White

She was born in Oconee County, GA, on June 7, 1947 and was preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, William White, mother, father, three sisters and two brothers.

Peggy is survived by her children; Jimmy Conklin, Wesley White, Lisa Phillips, Jennifer Edwards, Irma Baldwin and Shirley Arvey, her sixteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren, two brothers and two sisters, as well as several nieces, nephews whom she loved dearly. She was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, sisters, and friends to many.

Family meant the world to Peggy. No matter where or what she was doing, she would be there for any and every person that needed her. Whether it be a friend, family or even a stranger, she opened her home and heart to all she came into contact with in her life.

Anyone who knew Peggy, knew she was as competitive as they come. She enjoyed playing cards, specifically beating any and every one at canasta, bingo, going fishing, shopping at Walmart, playing tricks (where it be scaring someone or just to make them laugh), but the thing she would probably enjoyed most of all was being with her grandkids and great grandkids. She sure did know how to make everyone laugh and light up the room wherever she went.

Peggy truly loved her family with every fiber of her being, and as we all look back on the life she lived, we all can see just how much of a blessing she was to each of us. She will be so missed by her family and friends. However, we all can rejoice knowing she is once again reunited with the love of her life, is now rejoicing with no pain, and was welcomed to her eternal home with open arms by the Lord.

Family and friend are invited to gather for visitation on Monday, February 7, 2022 from 5-8 p.m. and Tuesday, February 8, 2022 from 12 noon until 1 p.m. at Tara Garden Chapel Funeral Home, 681 North Avenue, Jonesboro, GA 30236, where a Celebration of Life service will be held at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park, Jonesboro, GA. Masks are required to attend.
