Thelma S. Glass

She departed this life March 13, 2022. She was the last survivor of all her siblings.

She joined White Oak Grove Baptist Church at an early age. Later after moving to Atlanta, she joined Mt. Moriah Baptist Church for a number of years.

Later uniting with the Salem Baptist Church Atlanta, where she remained until her passing.

Early in life, she married the late Robert Smith Jr., and two children were born.

In 1951 she married the late Paul Glass, Jr. and to this union five children were born.

She retired from APS Comprehensive High School after 20 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her husband and two sons, Randy and Derry Glass.

She leaves to cherish her memories her children; Jeanette (John) Paul, Michael, Timothy, Napolean, her grandchildren; Kim, April, John III, Napolean Jr., Brittany, Jennice, great grandchildren, Jayla, John IV, Gloria, and Grace; great great grandchildren; Joshua, Josiah, Zora, Napolean III and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Monday, March 21, 2022 from 11 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. at Tara Garden Chapel Funeral Home, 681 North Avenue, Jonesboro, GA 30236, where a Celebration of Life service will be held at 1 p.m.

Burial will follow in New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery in Fayetteville, GA.
