W. Roy Cato

William "Roy" Cato, 79 of Lovejoy, Georgia passed away on December 17, 2010. He will be fondly remembered as Shug, Daddy and Papa. He was preceded in death by his wife; Mattie Henderson Cato and his parents; Wilbur C. Cato and Eliza Mock Cato. Mr. Cato was a veteran of the Georgia National Guard. He is survived by 2 daughters; Royce Daffin and her husband Robert of Marianna, Fl. and Cathy Hammond of Lovejoy, Ga. 4 grandchildren; Lory-Anne Cheeseboroug and her husband Jonathan of Havana, Fl., Ashley Bowles and her husband Jason of Montgomery, Al. Casey Edward Daffin of Tallahassee, Fl. and Kelly Diane Harrison and her husband of Loganville, Ga., 4 great grandchildren; Caleb Hammond, Blaine Daffin; Hayden Terrell and Emme Cheeseborough, 2 sisters; Gail Pope and Alice Cato, 1 brother; Charlie Cato a dear friend, Betty Whisnate and his favorite pet, Annie. He will be loved by many special relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held from the graveside of Sherwood Memorial Park on Monday, December 20, 2010 at 11 A.M. Military Honors will be given to Mr. Cato. Rev. Mike Henderson will officiate the service. Mr. Cato's family will receive friends at the Tara Gardens Funeral Home on Sunday, December 19, 2010 from 2 to 5 P.M. Flowers will be gratefully appreciated or donations can be made to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital Cancer Research.
