

William D. Windham, age 95, of Duluth, Georgia passed away on Monday, October 25, 2021. He was born in Ideal, GA on May 9, 1926, and he grew up there on a farm. He then served in the US Army and later started the first used car business in Warner Robbins, where he met his beloved Frances. They were married on July 20, 1947 in Jeffersonville, GA. Frances and Bill went on the start a trucking company and moved to South Florida where their son William Donald was born. They moved their business to Georgia in the 1980's following the birth of their grandson, William David. Bill was a member of the Zion Hill Baptist Church in Jonesboro. He took comfort in reading his bible everyday.
He was preceded in death by his mother; Lila Windham, brother; Gurvis (Mary Ann) Windham, wife; Frances Windham and his son; William Donald Windham.
He is survived by his grandson; William David Windham, David's mother; Jeanne (Ted) Warcholik, nieces and nephews.
A visitation for William will be held Friday, October 29, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM with a celebration of life service immediately following at Tara Garden Chapel, 681 North Ave, Jonesboro, Georgia 30236. Pastor Martin Jones officiating. Interment will take place at Camp Memorial Park, 1095 GA 54 E., Fayetteville, GA 30214.
