Alice Kanner

Born on August 23, 1931 in Harrison, New York. Devoted and lovely wife of Bernard Kanner, beloved mother of Donna Kanner, Craig Kanner, Pamela Kanner Henry (Edward), and Megan Kanner; doting grandmother to Leigh and Michael McGowan and Sarah, Nicholas, and Anna Henry. After a short illness, she passed away peacefully in Jupiter, Florida on March 2, 2013 surrounded by ones she laughed with, lived for and loved. Alice, a unique person was co-owner of Directions Unlimited, a travel agency in Mt. Kisco, NY before her retirement in 1990. She traveled the world by air and sea enjoying everything she saw. She loved golf and played at two clubs, Jonathan’s Landing Golf Club in Jupiter, Florida and Chequessett Neck Golf and country Club in Wellfleet, Massachusetts.

Along with the deep love of her family, Alice had the respect and admiration of many friends. She lived life to the fullest and took in all the world had to offer. A wonderful cook, she enjoyed food, restaurants and experiencing new things.

Her family will greatly miss her love and friendship. She will forever be in their hearts. Family will receive guests Tuesday, March 5th from 6-8 PM, Aycock-Riverside Funeral and Cremation Center.
