With deep sorrow we mourn the loss of our beloved mother, Alice Rose Rooney. Alice was born in NY, NY to Rose and Ludwig Anselmini on February 9 1928 into a loving family. She raised her 5 children in Cold Spring Harbor, NY Thomas (Susan), Hilarie (James), Timothy (who predeceased her), Alison (Daniel), Terence (Tove). Loving grandmother of Tyler, Tommie, Rose, Tobby.
Alice was a lady who knew about everything and was ahead of her time. She enthusiastically volunteered in CSH schools and town. Alice continued this tradition when she moved to Tequesta and enjoyed her 17 years at the Jupiter Lighthouse.
A high spirited world traveler, she was blessed with many good friends. A great mom first, a cook (‘Alice’s Restaurant’), bridge player, avid reader and gardener. She had a can do attitude filled with laughter enjoying family gatherings, singing and dancing on a whim. The depth by which she will be missed will be measured by the continuing love and remembrance by her family.
