Born on May 31, 1943, in Chiusano Di San Domenico, Italy, Angelina was the heart of her family from the very beginning, and she carried that warmth with her across an ocean and throughout an extraordinary life. Angelina was, simply put, a kind and pure soul. She was sweet, compassionate, and always wore a smile that could cheer anyone who crossed her path. Her eyes gleamed with happiness whenever she saw you, as if it were the first time, every time. That gift for making people feel special was something no one who met her ever forgot.
Alongside her husband Luigi, married 62 years, Angelina worked hard to build a life. Nothing made her happier than being surrounded by loving family and friends. This was her world, and she poured everything into it. Angelina had many talents and passions. She loved music and dancing. She was a born storyteller who loved sharing memories from her childhood years, romanticizing them with such enthusiasm that she could repeat them as if they were a Lifetime tv series, and her audience never tired of hearing them. It brought her great joy to share those precious stories. But if you were to ask anyone what her greatest talent was, they would all tell you the same thing: it was her COOKING!
Angelina was preceded in death by her mother, Lucia Carmela Reppucci; her father, Michele Picardi; and her brother, Carmine Picardi (Assunta).
She is survived by her sister, Carmela Picardi (Sabato); her devoted husband, Luigi Alfano; her daughters, Lucia Jastrzebski (Gerald), Ombretta Schutz, and Congetta Alfano; her son, Vito Alfano (Carina); her dear granddaughters, Angelina Trentadue (Pasquale), Sabrina Jastrzebski, Christina Schutz, Gina Schutz, Julianna Alfano; her grandsons, Gino Alfano, Michael Schutz, Joseph Jastrzebski, Salvatore Alfano, Luciano Alfano, Jackson Alfano; her great-grandsons, Luigi Trentadue, Lorenzo Trentadue; she was blessed with and adored by many nieces and nephews. All who loved her dearly.
Angelina's deep and abiding faith in God carried her through every season of life. God places angels on earth for a special reason, to remind us all what true goodness looks like. God has brought her back to heaven, where we shall one day meet again.
