Beverly A. Henry

Beverly Ann Johnson,age 93, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2026 at the Luxe in Jupiter, Fl. She was born July 22, 1932 in Mendota IL. Beverly graduated from Mendota High School. She went on to marry David Henry of Rochelle, IL and together raised 4 daughters.

They moved to Florida in 1971 and settled in Naples. She began a career as a licensed cosmetologist ultimately owning 2 beauty shops in Naples.

Wahine of Naples was the name of her shop. Her daughters will tell you she "practiced" on them long before she became licensed!

She is survived by her 4 daughters Rebecca Ann Henry of West Palm Beach, FL, who was her caretaker for several years. Diana Lynn Reed (Michael) of Naples, FL, Karen Kay Forlani (Salvatore) of Chagrin Falls, OH and Sandra Lee Petersen (Scott) of Palm Beach Gardens, FL.

7 grandchildren; Jennifer Martin (Scott) Las Vegas, NV. Tara Ticknor (Juston) Sweetwater, TN and Christa Reed (Andres) Ft Myers, FL

Tiffany Rodriguez (Carlos) Salon, OH Colby Forlani (Melanie) Chagrin Falls, OH, Josh Petersen (Christine) Palm Beach Gardens, FL Scott Petersen, Jr (Meagan) Stewart, FL.

She is also survived by siblings Ronald Johnson (Sandra) of Windsor, CO, Gary Johnson (Shelia) of Lagrange, IL, Linda Truckenbrod of Mendota, IL and sister in law Mary Johnson of Somers, NY.

And 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Harry and Marion Johnson, brother George Johnson and his wife Donna of Mendota IL, brother Harry Johnson of Somers, NY, sister Dorothy Stemmons of Justice, IL, and sister Carole Houck and her husband Donald of Dixon, IL, 1 granddaughter Annie Petersen and 1 grandson Robbie Petersen.

Family was very important to Bev with a tradition of family reunions that was started by her mother Marion. This tradition has gone on for decades.

The "Johnson 8" as they were known is now sadly down to 3.

Bev was a beautiful gentle soul who always had a smile and positive attitude. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
