Carl Creedon

Carl Leon Creedon, a veteran, visionary developer, and a devoted community leader, passed away on April 25, 2026. Born on December 1, 1932, in Plattsburgh, New York. Carl lived a life defined by courage, ambition, and a relentless passion for adventure.

At 18, Carl joined the United States Marine Corps, serving with distinction in Korea until 1951. Following his service, he rose through the ranks at AT&T to become a top executive. He later transitioned into real estate, developing significant buildings and apartments in Plattsburgh and Syracuse, New York. His love for the outdoors led him to Sugarbush, Vermont, where he developed the local area and shared his passion for the slopes as a ski instructor at Sugarbush Resort.

Carl was a man of many horizons. An accomplished pilot, he flew his Queen Air and Bonanza airplanes and enjoyed the serenity of soaring. He raised Morgan horses and was a regular on the polo fields. In later years, Carl moved to Florida to develop condominium communities in Palm Beach County. Setting in Caloosa with his loving wife, Stephanie. He served as Mayor, sat on various boards, and volunteered with the Citizens on Patrol. Carl and Stephanie's home was a sanctuary for rescued cats, dogs, and animals in need.

An avid motorcycle enthusiast, Carl traveled the country on his Harley, from the Black Hills to Daytona. He famously negotiated the 11 miles and 318 turns of The Dragon's Foot in the mountains of North Carolina, mastering its switchbacks and blind corners with his circle of friends, with whom he also enjoyed boating and trips to the Bahamas and Key West. He is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years, Stephanie, an many loving family and friends.

In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Carl's memory to Tunnel to Towers, an organization that mirror the dedication to service he held throughout his life.
