One of many days Damien and I enjoyed the beach. He touched some many lives. I am so  privileged and proud to have him as my grandson.

I’m sooooo grateful that i got to speak to you and have those memories with you. You are such a ray of sunshine and a beautiful soul. He reached out Nov. 1 and We had been speaking everyday up to the incident, I was so worried when u didn’t answer the phone but I now know you are in a better/safer place and i’m happy you are no longer suffering. It hurts knowing i can’t hear your voice or get another phone call. I miss u so much❤️❤️

I would like to extend my deepest sympathies to Wesley and Nicole. I am so very sorry for your loss. I can’t even begin to imagine the pain. One thing I know, you raised an awesome kid! From Bj , First I want to shout out a big thank you to the parent's for how good of a child you guys raised Damien to be . His respect was top tier , his smile was perfect , his care and concern is something that can’t and won’t be found in anyone else . A very consistent and caring friend who would try to make sure everything was alright . His love language with me was competition 🥺😂 . A yearner which is what I always thought was beautiful and a gift to have in stored . I remember calling him Gentle Giant for the first time and he hated it 😂😂😂 he hated how I laughed so much because it would irritate him but he always ended up laughing with me lol. An amazing , smart and a soul made genuinely by God himself. Most of all I will take the encouraging words he gave me and use them in my everyday life . We graduated the same year  and I was supposed to attend his graduation sadly I couldn’t because I was located in another state at the time but I remember me standing and waiting for him to walk across the stage on the tv and I remember being so happy for him 🥹 We lived in the moment so much that at time I didn’t think to pull out my phone to record much memories and I feel like that’s a great thing because I knew the friendship we had was pure which came with ups and downs and roundabouts but we still showed each other love and bounced back before the day ended. God knew exactly what he was doing  when we both just happens to be at the beach the same night and when I realized it was him I ran to him and said “ Is that Damien “ he responded “ Is that bj ? “ we were so excited to see each other because I was in Georgia and he previously texted me saying he couldn’t wait to see me 🥺. He sat next to me on the bench and we talked off each other’s ears and I loved every bit of it . To the parents again I say thank you for creating such a Gentle Giant ❤️. Praying for everyone’s health and well being on this journey of grief love to the family ❤️

Damien was a childhood friend of mine, we met in my old neighborhood when i was playing with my remote control car and he asked if he could also play with it, from that day on he would come over to my house and we would always hangout and play together, he would come over and eat with me and my family, we watched movies at my house, we played video games and we always liked playing outside with other neighborhood kids, to this day i still smile and laugh about the old times I had with Damien, as an adult Damien was a good young man that brought positivity and joy to everyone around him, My prayers and condolences go out to his family and friends. Damien was one of my good friends in high school, he was always taking my shoe😂 I was always laughing with him, keeping him out of trouble sometimes. He was such a big brother to everyone, always checking in making sure his people were okay, I loved that about him. I care for my friends deeply no matter how long I know them or how deeply. Hes definitely missed, my heart aches. If I could relive high school and run around the classroom with him laughing uncontrollably I would in a heartbeat❤️

Damien  was my student in 11th grade, and basically my velcro student for the first semester of senior year. I will miss him dearly. I was so thankful to see him a few weeks ago when he came by Dwyer and we spent a minute catching up. It was so nice to hear how he was doing after leaving Dwyer, and I was so proud of him. Keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Aug 2025. Damien and I loved late night runs, something I recently found out. We’ve never ran together bc he’s obviously much faster than me but he always sent videos of his runs as proof and encouragement to keep going. 
We’re going to get through this. It’s tough, at times unbearable, no doubt. But if there’s one thing Damien was, it’s resilient. I’m choosing to take that with me in this journey and throughout life.

Baby Damien 🥹. Arguably one of my favorite parts about Damien was his childlike nature and ability to just chill fr. Nothing was ever too serious and we need more of that in the world.

In line for some scary drop ride. He stayed cracking jokes to ease nerves. He had a way of making anyone think they could do anything.

Jan 2023 south Florida fair. Buddy had the time of his life rocking the buggy especially since it meant I was the slightest bit freaked out( horrible poker face). His laugh made it bearable.

Losing a so. Is an unimaginable sorrow. Your heart must be heavy with grief, and I hope you find comfort in the cherished memories you shared.

Wesley and Nicole I can not begin to feel your pain. My heart hurts for you and I pray for God to console your heart like only he can do.

dang bro this hitting different right now man. i remember when you would come over with all of the family just to be playing on the game man😂😂 bro brought a whole projector to the house just so we could play on the game because he didn’t have no tv and we did in fact make it work😂😂 imma miss you cuzzo rest easy please it’s forever going to be LLD i love uu cuzzo🤞🏽

Damien was a jack of all trades and seemingly master of all as well. But the best hat he’s ever worn has to be one of a close friend. Damien is special not just because of what he’s done for others(myself included), but simply bc of who he is. He’s the type to do something that annoys you despite the fact because he knows it’ll put a smile on your face. He pays attention to the little things because he knows that’s what matters most. He cared- about everyone- from friends to family to stubborn kids not having bike lights at work. He’s the definition of a real one because he’ll stick with you through all times, good or bad. I believe death will not change that. I can not put into words how grateful I am to have been able to call Damien my friend. He made me want to be a better person just by being in his presence. It was abundantly clear that seeds of love and the love of God were planted in him. He beared fruit daily. His name & reputation will continue on to bear fruit as it will never be forgotten. 
To Damien’s parents: you did great.  Not only does everyone love and care about Damien but he loved and cared about them too. Including you. You both shined through him as he was very versatile in his mindset and skill set. People like Damien are honestly few and far between and I treasure the way he turned out to be. May God be your strength and your comforter in these difficult times. I pray over you and the rest of the Family 💗

We are heart broken to hear of the passing of Damien.  We had the pleasure of meeting Damien years ago while visiting his great grandmother, Charlene.  What we remember about Damien was his big beautiful smile and infectious laughter.  He was a pure joy to be with.  Charlene was so proud of the young man that Damien grew up to be.  Please know that our thoughts and prayers will be with all of Damien's family in the difficult weeks and months ahead.

Damien is a friend of mine from high school, I knew him as always finding a way of making people comfortable around him. I knew him for his positive attitude and his comforting presence. Rest In Peace Damien Carter

Damien was a  beacon of positivity not just to his family and friends, but also his coworkers, and the staff that worked with him. I was always excited to have conversations with him and he had a knack to come say hi whenever I was having a bad day. He was always willing to help. Forever grateful to have him in my life.

On this night we were at Jaden's house and this man ended up stopping to get food. This man ended up getting half a slab of ribs from Chili’s and didn’t ask if we wanted any, just being big back as always. A message to your mom, just know that u did everything right, you raised a respectful and responsible young man. You raised a son I was able to call my brother someone I could count on in time of need and I thank you for that. Thank you for raising such a good kid.

Just us in the Halloween store acting a fool. We tried on every mask we thought looked good. He told me that he was going to be a power ranger for Halloween and I laughed at him because that would be a funny costume because of how big he is lol. Ima miss you brother, no more late night drives, no more being out late and going to Jaden's house to make beats, no more of me hearing you pull up to my house after helping you put in the sub. Only lord knows how much I’m trying I got this tho. Watch over us and keep us safe.
