

Rev. Edward B. Hill passed away peacefully in Palm Beach Gardens, FL on December 26, 2012 with his daughter by his side. He was a kind loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a man of honor, integrity, faith and family. He is now resting with his heavenly Father. Although he accomplished many things in his life, mentoring generations of young preachers and ministers is his legacy.
Rev. Hill was born in Marlborough, MA and spent most of his adult life in Rhode Island where he was affiliated with Zion Bible College in East Providence. He served the college for more than 40 years as an officer of the Board of Director. In addition to being a faculty member and instructor he was the Associate Pastor of Zion Gospel Temple, director of Home Missions, founder of the radio ministry (Christian Broadcasting Association) and served as the Alumni President from 1958-1989. He founded and built the Zion Press and the Zion Bookstore and was instrumental in each expansion of the college. As director of Home Mission he was influential in establishing over 100 churches throughout New England, New York and Pennsylvania. Rev. Hill’s daily radio broadcast of “Temple Time” was on the air for 30 years in Rhode Island and surrounding states.
After attending a conference in Israel in 1961 he returned with a vision that every minister would visit the Holy Land. He developed a group travel plan and as a result became a pioneer in the group travel industry. In 1962 ED HILL TOURS was officially established and has operated continuously since inception and is now
America’s oldest travel company specializing in Christian Group Travel. Rev. Hill
Made over 55 trips to Israel and has personally escorted thousands of pilgrims and tourists to Israel and the Middle East. Rev. Hill was active in his travel business located in North Palm Beach until he was 98 years old.
In 1989 he became a permanent resident of Palm Beach Gardens, FL. He is survived by his wife of 77 years, Sylvia daughter’s Portia Hill Morris and Meredith Hill Page and her husband Richard Page, granddaughter Camie Buell and her husband Jimmy Buell and great grandsons Corbin and Aiden Buell.
Visitation will be held at Aycock Funeral Home on Military Trail in Jupiter on January 2nd from 4-7pm. A Funeral service will be held at the Hobe Sound Bible Church on January 3rd at 1:00 pm.
