Francesco Valenti

We mourn the passing of Francesco Valenti, 87. Born December 12, 1932 in Castellamare Del Golfo, Italy to Gaspare and Lucrezia Valenti, Frank died on December 26, 2019, surrounded by loved ones at his home in Greenacres, Florida. Moving to the United States in 1960, Frank met and married his wife of 58 years Gaetana (Barbato) and had two sons. A proud member of the Laborers International Union of North America for over 50 years, Frank was a talented mason. Gifted with a truly green thumb, Frank was an avid gardener growing an abundance of fruits and vegetables in his small garden in Brooklyn. He created a grape arbor along his driveway that was magical. For his grandchildren, he planted a fig tree at each of their homes growing up. Later in life he discovered a passion for Bocce and was a repeated Gold and Silver Medal winner in his recreational league.

A loving husband, father, son and brother- Frank is survived by his wife Gaetana, sons Gaspare (wife Angela) and Luigi (wife Rachele), grandchildren Daniella, Frank, Mattea, Sabrina, Michael and Daniel, brother Giussepe (wife Pina), sister Rosina, along with a wealth of nieces, nephews and friends. A generous soul, Frank was beloved and will be missed.
