78, of Juno Beach, passed away on June 16, 2011.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, and his beloved pet and canine best friend Decoy. He is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Yolanda; children, Gloria (the late Jeff Galyon), Frank and Jesus; grandchildren, Jeffery, Daniel, Sarah, Peyton, and Palmer; sister, Georgina; and canine second best friend Codey.
He was born on March 16, 1933 in Santiago, Cuba. In 1956 he received his degree in Chemistry from La Universidad de Oriente in Cuba. In 1962, the family immigrated to the US. He began working as a Sugar Chemist for US Sugar at Bryant Sugar Mill in Pahokee. In 1997, he was Chief of Fabrication and retired after 35 years of service. Afterward, he served as a consultant for sugar mills in Latin America. In 1999, he and Yolanda moved to Juno Beach and have lived there since.
A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, June 18 at 10 a.m., St. Peter Catholic Church, 1701 Indian Creek Parkway, Jupiter. Interment will be at Riverside Memorial Gardens in Tequesta.
