Homer Hanna

He attended high school in Ramah village, and pursued further training in accounting in Haifa, Israel.

He was married to Angela Sakran on October 25th, 1958. They had been married for sixty-four years and had three children. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family and loved planning family gatherings throughout the year.

He began his career as an accountant and bookkeeper at Nazareth Baptist school and continued to work in the field of accounting here in the US.

Homer loved music, playing several instruments especially the Arabic Oud. He also enjoyed traveling and spent much of his time serving the Lord in church and different church ministries. He was a deacon at the Nazareth Baptist Church, started the Baptist Center in his community, also served at the University Baptist Church in Coral Gables, Florida for several years. He was also involved at the Arabic Christian Church and attended Christ Fellowship in West Palm Beach on a regular basis until his passing. He will always be remembered for his love and devotion to God and family.

He is survived by his wife Angela, children Amal (Edward) Owais, Mousa Michael (Mirvat) Hanna, Reem (Frank) Ghneim, grandchildren Kristin (Gilbert) Hernandez, Mary, Alexander Angela, Isabella Omair and Jacob and great grandchildren Ellius and Elyssa. Victor and Fuad Hanna – brothers, Preceded in death Mousa and Widad Hanna – Parents, and Elaine Nassar – sister.

A funeral service for Homer will be held Thursday, April 27, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Christ Fellowship, 5312 Northlake Blvd, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33418. Following the funeral service will be a graveside service from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Riverside Memorial Park, 19351 SE County Line Road, Tequesta, FL 33469. Shortly after the burial, there will be a reception at 3:30pm. This will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn Palm Beach Gardens, 3505 Kyoto Gardens Drive Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410.
