

James Leslie (Les) Breedlove, 56, of Jupiter, FL died on May 3, 2016 in Palm Beach Gardens after an 11-month illness. He was born September 30, 1959 in Daytona Beach, FL. He is survived by: wife, Kelly Bashaw Breedlove (Jupiter, FL); daughters, Nikki Breedlove (New York City), Katie Breedlove (Delray Beach, FL), Bonnie Breedlove (Palm Beach Gardens, FL), and Arden Sanford (Hawaii); son, Ross Sanford (Washington, DC); mother, Dorothy Casey Breedlove (Sebring, FL); sisters, Gayla (Bob) Bergmann (Boynton Beach, FL), Jeri (Jimmy) Wohl (Avon Park, FL) and Penny (Jack) Rhine (Sebring, FL); eight nephews and four nieces. Les was preceded in death by his father James L. Breedlove. He graduated from the University of Florida in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Finance and Insurance. He was founder/owner of JLB Enterprises and owner/CEO of Slaton Risk Services located in West Palm Beach since 1988.
Les Breedlove was a father, son, husband, brother, avid golfer, boater and businessman. He led Slaton with extraordinary vision to become a premier Insurance Agency. He became a national expert in workers’ compensation, employee benefits and risk management consultancy. It was his heartfelt wish that Slaton would prosper and be his legacy. He was a member of many business and social organizations throughout Palm Beach County. His competitive drive led him to countless awards and recognitions not only in his business career but also for his true passion of golf. He will be greatly loved and missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 6 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, followed by a service from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Christ Fellowship-South Campus, 5312 Northlake Blvd, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33418. In celebration of Les' life, please wear your favorite University of Florida Gator colors. In lieu of flowers, please donate in Les' name to:
