Jeanine, age 63, passed away on April 16, 2024, after a long and courageous battle with Neuroendocrine Pancreatic Cancer. Born on January 19, 1961, Jeanine brought immense joy and love to those around her.
Jeanine spent many years of her life being an advocate for those who could not advocate for themselves. She had also made it a priority in her life to love and care for children from all around the world; providing a safe home for them to live in while receiving medical treatments and procedures that they were not able to receive in the countries they came from. Jeanine also enjoyed hosting exchange students from around the world, so they could continue their education in the United States. Jeanine’s journey touched the lives of many, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of strength and resilience.
Throughout her life, Jeanine embodied kindness and compassion. Her selflessness and generosity knew no bounds, leaving an everlasting mark on the hearts of friends and family. Jeanine was a role model and an inspiration to her younger siblings, she loved her family, her husband, her children, and grandchildren very much. Jeanine had a love for animals and nature, she spent much of her later life building a beautiful aviary and filling it with a wide variety of birds. She also took a love for chickens and created a beautiful chicken coop for her little creatures. She also enjoyed laying on the couch and admiring the beauty of her fish tanks and snuggling her dogs and cat.
Jeanine had a passion for many things in life, she loved sitting outside and doing puzzles: she would challenge herself by continuously increasing the amount of pieces. She loved nature and all its beauty. She loved watching her grandsons play in her gorgeous yard. She loved hosting holidays at her house and cooking delicious meals for everyone. She loved decorating and designing kitchens and baths and started her own company doing so. Most of all, Jeanine loved to make others feel safe, welcome, and happy at all times. She was a strong woman who faced all challenges with courage and dignity. She was an inspiration to all and will be deeply missed.
Jeanine is survived by her husband of 35 years, Pete; her parents Joyce and Larry Benke, her sister, brother-in-law and niece Pamela, Norm and Skye Dawson; her brother and sister-in-law Everett and Adriana Benke; her daughters Ashlee and Ashley, her sons PJ and Ricky and step-son Jason; her eight grandsons Jacob, Makai, Braxton, Grayson, Madden, Dawson, Tripp and Archer and her soon-to-be first granddaughter Isla Lynn Johnson.
