As the devoted wife of the late Leo G. Dillon, a U.S. Navy officer, Joan navigated the demands of military life with unwavering strength. She traveled far and wide with her husband and children during his many deployments, always meeting life’s challenges head-on. Her sharp wit, strong opinions, and unshakable presence made her unforgettable to all who crossed her path.
Joan was the proud mother of Michele Dillon-Auchter, and she now rejoins her husband, Leo, and her son, Michael Dillon, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond.
She is survived by her daughter Michele; her beloved grandchildren Dakota, Brandon, Sean, and Morgan; and her nieces LouAnne, Patty, and Kay, and nephew Bill, along with their families—each of whom brought her joy and pride. Her family was her foundation, and her love and loyalty to them never wavered.
A passionate reader and lifelong cat lover, Joan had a fierce love of travel and a firm sense of independence. She was a woman of deep Catholic faith and a devoted member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Jupiter, never missing a Sunday service when she could help it.

A private family service will be held to celebrate her life.
