Jack graduated from St. Thomas More and continued from there to the Merchant Maritime Academy. He served in World War II and received Honorable Discharges from the Coast Guard and the US Navy.
His favorite past times were golfing, fishing, traveling with his wife and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Because of his charisma, bigger than life personality and infectious smile, many of his friends called him "Hollywood". Jack started out selling houses and then became a builder in PA and DE and owned an Insurance Agency in Media, PA.
He is predeceased by his parents, William "Bucky" and Mae Holsten; his sister, Dorothy Collins and Helen Holsten, the mother of his two sons.
Jack leaves behind his beloved wife, Judy; his children, John Holsten (Jodi) and his son, William Holsten, II; his grandchildren, John, Curt, Erik, Kyle, Jennifer Maddaloni (Andrew), William III (Alison) and Alison Flick; his great-grandchildren, Riley, Lilly, Jake, Alexandra, Paige, Brooke, Maeve and Jack; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 13591 Prosperity Farms Road, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 https://www.stjude.org/donate
