John Wesley Lowe

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend, stepped into the presence of his Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 23, 2013. He was born on June 7, 1925 to Howard Lowe and Bessie Caroline Curry in Green Turtle Cay, Abaco, Bahamas. He lived 87 full and blessed years.

He married Doreen Mae Lowe on March 2, 1951 in Nassau, Bahamas. While in Nassau, he worked for Maura Lumber Company for 19 years and Roberts Furniture Company for 22 years. John retired and moved to Jupiter, Florida in 1988.

John was one of the founding members & trustees of Calvary Bible Church in Nassau, Bahamas and helped to start the New Testament Baptist Church in Nassau, Bahamas. He was also a member of Beacon Baptist Church in Jupiter, Florida.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Doreen M. Lowe, 4 children: Paula Higgs Jackson (Lynn), Paul Lowe (Sherry), Jonathan Lowe (Michelle), and Evan Lowe (Dona); 15 grandchildren: Chantal Higgs Chung (Gary), Sophia Higgs Farmer (Timothy), Jason Lowe (Heather), Jessica Lowe Rone, Mckenzie Lowe, Karissa Lowe, Nathaniel Lowe, Gabrielle Lowe, Grace Lowe, E. Wesley Lowe, Jr. , Gwyneth Lowe, Dylan Lowe, Rhys Lowe, Griffin Lowe, and Bronwyn Lowe; 11 great-grandchildren: Andrew Chung, Emma Chung, Aimee Farmer, Levi Farmer, Benjamin Farmer, Audrey Lowe, Ian Lowe, Aiden Lowe, Ethan Lowe, Ava Rone and Hudson Rone; 1 sister: Janet Sjahri (Alik) and many other relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 2, 2013, at Beacon Baptist Church, 11616 Indiantown Road, Jupiter, Florida. Burial will take place at the Riverside Memorial Park, 19351 SE County Line Road, Tequesta, Florida.
