

John Francis Xavier Mullery, 83, of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida passed away peacefully on August 24, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on October 8th, 1941, in Jersey City, New Jersey. John was the eldest son of John Francis Mullery and Eleanor McLaughlin Mullery. John grew up with his brother and best friend, Anthony (Tony) James Mullery. John and his family lived in Allenhurst, NJ and later moved to Spring Lake, NJ.
John proudly served in the US Navy for five years as a Mineman. He was stationed in Norfolk, Virginia, Sicily, Italy and was deployed to Cuba for the Bay of Pigs invasion. He was a true Patriot and loved his country. He met the love of his life, Jeanette McKenna Mullery at the Jersey Shore. His family owned, Callaghan’s Liquors (now Egan’s). She walked in for a bottle of wine and walked out with a first date; six months later they were engaged to be married. John and Jeanette resided in the quaint shore town of Manasquan, NJ for forty years where they happily raised their two daughters, Gail & Tara.
John worked forty-five years in the liquor industry, and forty of those years were spent as a Sales Leader for Crown Beer, an Anheuser Busch Distributor. John received numerous awards and accolades and traveled globally during his career.
He was predeceased by his loving parents and brother.
He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-nine years, Jeanette; his two daughters, Gail Hackett (Mark Hackett) and Tara Keating (Jeffrey Keating); as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and two grand-dogs.
John enjoyed body surfing big waves on Main Beach after a storm. He was an outdoorsman, an avid hunter and fisherman. John and Jeanette loved their Aruba vacations where they spent two weeks every April with their friends. He identified closely with his Irish heritage. The family tradition was watching his favorite movie, The Quiet Man every St. Patrick’s Day. John was an active member of St. Denis Catholic Church in Manasquan for forty years.
A celebration of John’s life will be held at AYCOCK-RIVERSIDE FUNERAL & Cremation Center 1112 Military Trail, Jupiter, Florida on September 3, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. A reception will follow at Paddy Mac’s on Military Trail in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. A catholic burial will take place in late October.
