

He was born in Vahalla, NY to the late Mary and Gaspare Spinello. Joseph was a patriotic american, proud of the time he spent in the service of his country and the US Navy (Korean War) where he also was the heavyweight champion of his whole navy base.
He married his wife, Petrina DiCarlo, in Sicily to whom he has been married to for 63 years. Besides his wife, Joseph is survived by Gaspare Spinello (son) Jupiter, Fl, Maria Zappala (daughter) and her husband Michael of Mahopac, NY, Giovanna Spinello (daughter- goes by the name of Gina) Jupiter, Fl and Jessica Zappala (granddaughter). Siblings: Johnny Spinello (brother) West Harrison, NY, Patty Spinello (sister) West Harrison, NY. Predeceased him was Zachary Zappala (grandson).
Joseph retired from the Post Office and was also a member of the White Plains Moose Lodge #294 in West Harrison, NY.
He enjoyed boxing at the Westchester County Center in White Plains NY, figure skating, fishing and water skiing on his boat in NY, skiing, ice fishing, golf, building model airplanes and flying them, a love for animals and playing his harmonica. Joseph is also known for his warm smile, sense of humor and always giving a helping hand.
