Laurene Ivy (Neill) LaBonte of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida passed away on December 16, 2020 at the age of 83. Laurie was born in Hartford Connecticut and graduated from East Hartford High School in 1955. She was married to her beloved Joseph Robert LaBonte on December 20, 1958, and they were married for 48 years prior to his passing. She attended the University of Connecticut and completed her Masters degree in education at Florida Atlantic University. Laurie retired as a high school mathematics teacher from Palm Beach Gardens Community High School, but also spent some time as a real estate agent. Laurie enjoyed playing bridge as part of several local clubs for many years and also volunteered at a local soup kitchen. She was the sister to William Neill of North Carolina and Alfred Neill of Florida. She is survived by her children Glen LaBonte (Kathy), Claudine Wilkinson (Doug), Todd LaBonte (Beth), and several nieces and nephews. She enjoyed spending time with her five grandchildren Nikki, Dani, Kylar, Lydia, and Taryn. She is greatly loved and will be sorely missed. Services will be held at a later date and condolences can be sent to the family.
