Lorraine M Kirby

Lorraine was born in Jamaica, Queens, New York and the Miller family moved to Nassau County, Long Island shortly afterwards. She married Walter Kirby, whom she met at the high school they both attended in Bellmore, NY and raised a family there before moving to Palm Beach County.

Lorraine will be remembered for her undying expression of affection for her family, friends and acquaintances. Despite suffering from dementia for the past several years, she never failed to tell those she met and recognized how much she loved them.

Lorraine was predeceased by her parents, Ethel and Eugene Miller, sister Marilyn Matassa and her husband Phil. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Walter, siblings Connie Stillway (& husband Robert), and Gene Miller (& wife Geraldine).

She is also survived by her children and their families, including: Michael Kirby, his wife Ann Marie, and granddaughters Lauren Huss & Alyssa; Walter Kirby, his wife June, and granddaughter Piper; Christopher Kirby; and Susanne Inbar, her husband Tal, and grandchildren Aiden and Ella.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10am, Thursday, May 23 at St Patrick R.C. Church, 13591 Prosperity Farms Road, Palm Beach Gardens, FL. An additional Celebration of Life mass will be held in Long Island, NY at a later date.
