Phyllis Ann Prochazka, lovingly known as "Mom Mom," passed away peacefully at home on April 5, 2025, surrounded by the family she cherished so deeply. Born on Christmas Day in 1955 in Baltimore, Maryland, Phyllis brough warmth, strength, and a generous spirit into the world that she would carry through her life.
A proud graduate of The Catholic High School of Baltimore, Phyllis built a life centered on love, family, and enduring resilience. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, James W. Prochazka Jr., who passed on May 5, 2014. Together, they created a beautiful legacy that lives on in their children and grandchildren.
Phyllis is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Derek Marmen; her daughter and son-in-law, Christopher and Angela Prochazka Georgopoulos; and her four beloved grandchildren: Abigail and Connor Marmen, and Luka and Roman Georgopoulos. She is also survived by her siblings; Maria Sell and Albert Broccolo. She is also predeceased by her sister Shirley Hott.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to honor the remarkable woman she was.
Phyllis' lasting legacy is one of love and strength- adored by all who knew her and remembered always for the light she brought into our lives.
